Day 360: Lilacs

I was worried my lilac bush wasn't going to bloom this year and I then I discovered it's a late spring bloomer.

Day 353: Memorial Day Marigolds

Ashley and I picked up two flats of Marigolds to plant around Mom's garden. We planted them today, but I completely forgot to take a picture of them until we were driving home at 9:30 at night. Luckily, we drove Eastman Road, which is lined with Marigolds. So, at a stoplight, I took a picture.  ":)

I wanted a lovely spring-ish picture for today, but it's pretty drab out.  So I took a panoramic of the backyard and then added some color to it.

Day 209: Alstroemeria

Alstroemeria, also known as Peruvian Lily or Lily of the Incas.

Day 195: Poinsettia

One of my coworkers gave me a poinsettia for Christmas.  I hope I don't accidentally kill it.  [My track record with plants isn't very good.]

Bought some flowers at the grocery store.

Day 150: November Flowers

It's November and while the Marigolds have kicked the bucket, these "stock" flowers are still going strong.  I think I paid less than $2 for the plant...  Yay for it being November and still we don't have snow!

Day 115: Marigolds

I spent less than $10 on these Marigold plants look how awesome they are.  I planted them in May and they're still going strong in October.  I am impressed with the hardiness of Marigolds and will definitely be purchasing them again.  Read more to see what they looked like in May.

Day 72: New Flowers

Went to Menards yesterday and bought the bricks, flowers, and dirt.  My mum and I put it together and planted the mums.  ":)

Day 38: Marigolds

Back in May I planted a few small marigold plants in the flower bed.  Some of the plants have stayed small, but not these.  They're huge.  I'm not really good at keeping plants alive, so it makes me happy that they've done so well.  Too bad they're not perennials.

Day 13: Fuschias

I bought these (and several other flowers) in May and I haven't killed them yet.  It's a miracle!
