I recently became interested in 365 Projects—I just think they're neat. So, I was thinking of doing one, but it's the middle of the year. But it's close to my birthday... so I thought I'd do a 365 project of the last year of my twenties, since I will turn 30 in 2011 and that's kinda scary for me. Without further adieu, here is my tribute to the year I am/was 29.

Day 353: Memorial Day Marigolds
Ashley and I picked up two flats of Marigolds to plant around Mom's garden. We planted them today, but I completely forgot to take a picture of them until we were driving home at 9:30 at night. Luckily, we drove Eastman Road, which is lined with Marigolds. So, at a stoplight, I took a picture. ":)

Day 344: Waterfall
While visiting Ashley in Grand Rapids, we went to the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. The place is huge, and there were a lot of sculptures and flowers, but the place wasn't quite as cool as I thought it would be. Still it was pretty cool.

Day 325: Everglades Alligator
We saw a few alligators on the air boat ride we went on in the morning, but we saw way more when we hiked a trail in the Everglades. We got to see a 9-foot alligator swimming (slowly) and thought he was going to get frisky with a female, but not much happened.

Day 323: Strangler Fig
We drove around Miami so that I could collect research for my novel. We saw these gigantic trees all over Coral Gables. (I learned the name later.)

Day 317: Happy Easter!
I saw the Easter Bunny this morning. I love how the photo is like the Lochness Monster or Big Foot--vague and hard to see. ":)

Day 242: Blue Skies
[This photo is completely unedited.] The sky out the back door was beautiful, so I opened the door long enough to snap a picture (it's been quite frosty lately).

Day 150: November Flowers
It's November and while the Marigolds have kicked the bucket, these "stock" flowers are still going strong. I think I paid less than $2 for the plant... Yay for it being November and still we don't have snow!

Day 136: Still Autumn
Looking out my bedroom window onto the lovely autumn weather. [The high was 74 degrees!] Too bad a cold front is supposed to be coming through on day 139.

Day 119: Autumn Leaves
The weather was so beautiful today (in the high 70s in October in Michigan!) that I couldn't stay inside. So, the mutts and I went to city forest for a nice long walk. I looked straight up to get this photo.

Day 118: Photo Shoot
Let me preface this with the statement that sometimes I'm a dork. Anyway, I'm super excited that this is my last year of school (I am so ready to be done). When I thought about being a senior and graduation and all that, I thought it would be funny if I had "senior" pictures taken and sent them to my friends and family with my graduation announcement next summer. So I "hired" Dennis to take some autumn-ish pictures. My picture of the day is Dennis taking my picture. ":)

Day 117: The Ring
Just when I thought I was going to complete an entire week of school (going to all classes for the full class period), I decided to bail on my history class (I did go to 2/3 of the class). I was getting ready to leave campus when I looked over and saw that weird dome thing across the way and I decided it would be my picture of the day. So, I parked, crossed this weird and muddy creek (which reminds me, I have to hose off my shoes) and came upon the even weirder dome thing which after some research I discovered is called Annual Ring and has to do with the summer solstice. I still think it's weird, but I was able to get an interesting picture.
