I recently became interested in 365 Projects—I just think they're neat. So, I was thinking of doing one, but it's the middle of the year. But it's close to my birthday... so I thought I'd do a 365 project of the last year of my twenties, since I will turn 30 in 2011 and that's kinda scary for me. Without further adieu, here is my tribute to the year I am/was 29.

Day 233: Icicles
The icicles out the kitchen window look so cool. I wish they photographed well, but this is the best I could do.

Day 232: Red Room
Dad installed Ashley's hanging lights in the lounge for a Christmas present. Because of where they are and how the house was built, the light switch is on a radio frequency that "talks" to the box the lights are plugged into. One of the neighbors must also have something on that same frequency because the lights are constantly turning on by themselves... that or we have a ghost. It certainly doesn't help the creepy factor that the lights are red and cast an eerie glow.

Day 230: John Wayne Game
Went to Mom and Dad's for dinner. Dad and I played the John Wayne Game that I made him for Christmas a few years ago. (This year I made him an expansion pack with new questions.)

Day 228: Reading
About 90% of my homework this semester consists of reading. This seems like it would be a fairly easy task. However, with Ashley away, the dogs demand more attention from me. Toby wants to be petted and Rodney always wants to play fetch. Eventually they both settle down and cuddle with me on the sofa, and that's when I am finally able to focus on my reading.

Day 227: New Toys
Normally I buy the dogs toys from the dollar store or if they're on sale at Petsmart and I spend less than $2 on them. However, last summer (maybe longer) Ed gave the dogs AKC stuffed animals (a squirrel and a chipmunk) and not only do Toby and Rodney absolutely love them, but they've outlasted every other toy they own (including the rubber chicken). I ordered new ones from Amazon (chipmunk and fox) and though they cost a bit more than I've spent in the past, I think it's worth it. The boys were certainly pleased when they arrived in the mail today.

Day 226: Handwriting
Today is National Handwriting Day--the photo is of the paper I'm writing for my History of American Religion class.

Day 225: The Boys
Dennis and Marc came over to watch movies. Rodney and Toby had to be all over them for the first hour or so.

Day 224: Quilt
I started this quilt several years ago with the intention of putting thick batting in it so that it would be a winter quilt, and then I never finished it. So, I decided now is the time since I can pretty much take over the den with Ash out of town. ":)

Day 223: Team Meeting
We had a "team meeting" at Diamond Jim's. I love how I have to be different... everyone is in blue/green except me.

Day 222: T-Shirts
I started measuring t-shirts for the next t-shirt quilt. If you're interested in having us make you a t-shirt quilt, leave me a comment.

Day 221: Bread Bowl
Last fall, I dropped my Correlle bowl in the kitchen and it shattered into a million tiny pieces. Since I was getting it out to make kolaches, I was forced to drive to Kmart and buy a crappy plastic bowl for $2.99 so that I could make them. Anyway, I told Mom for Christmas I wanted a nice ceramic bread mixing bowl like hers--which is from the late 70s, I believe. So I got a whole set for Christmas--just like Mom's. ":)

Day 220: Fabric
I set up the February quilt day on Facebook and took this photo for the event listing. I thought it turned out pretty cool.

Day 216: Berth
While Ashley is gone travel nursing, I've been sleeping in her bedroom so that I don't have to pay to heat the second floor. While she is home, I'm sleeping on the lounger.

Day 214: Seeing the Light
Dad installed Ashley's living room lights for a Christmas present. With them turned on, they remind me of the sankara stones in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Day 213: Back to School
For Wednesday, I have to read a chapter out of Major Problems and pages 5-122 of Robinson Crusoe. I'm listening to Crusoe on LibriVox, so that's no sweat. I don't actually have to start reading the Anne Hutchinson book until next week, but since I have to write a paper on it, due in two weeks, I figured I should start reading it now.

Day 212: Blue Like Jazz
My Blue Like Jazz Associate Producer shirt came in the mail! I can't wait until it's warm enough to wear a T-shirt. [When the movie is finished, my name will be in the credits as an associate producer. ":) ]
